Our school, Mediterrània School by Alba

RULES

Our school is a common, big and modern secondary school. The teachers aren't strict, they are easy-going, but not all of them. We don't have to wear uniform but We must arrive on time.

SUBJECTS AND HOMEWORK

Everyone has to study Catalan, Spanish, technology, English, biology, art, history, P.E and tutorial, but we can choose other subjects. We also can study one foreing language. We have to do a lot of homework and a lot of tests.

THE TIMETABLE

We divide our school year into three different terms. The timetable of classes doesn't change in each term. We go to the café and the high school students can go out at the break time.

Hi!

We're having a great time in Sevilla. I think it's more beautiful than El Vendrell.

Today we're buying a lot of souvenirs. This morning we went to a shopping center and then we went to McDonald's for lunch. Right now, my parents and I are eating an ice-cream.

My favourite thing about Sevilla is that it has different places to go but I don't like the weather. Sevilla is very hot!!

David, my best friend

I have a lot of friends but I have only one best friend. My best friend's name is David, his surname is Munuera and He is 14 years old. He is in my class. He is very tall, his eyes are brown and his hear is dark, it is short and curly. He is always smiling and wants everyone to be happy. I love his smile and his laugh! He is direct and very honest, He is also very intelligent and easy-going. He likes athletics and all types of music. His favourite color is blue. He doesn't like doing his homework and He hates broccoli.

We i've been for two years and We will be forever friends.

Pizza, my favourite food

My favourite food is pizza. It's a typical Italian food. There are many types of pizza: Hawaiana, Barbacue, Quatro quesos, Chicken pizza, Mediterrania,... For me Hawaiana is as tasty as Barbacue, but the best pizza is Quatro quesos, because I love cheese! But I think that the pizza Mediterrania is better made than Quatro quesos. I hate the pizza Granjera because its ingredients are bad for me, I also think that pizza Mediterrania is bad, but It isn't as bad as Granjera. The most important are the ingredients because, If you don't like the ingredients, You think that the pizza is bad. This is my opinion of my favourite food.

My best friend

My best friend

My best friend is Alba Lucia Ferrer. She's a good friend, a good person, intelligent, good-looking, funny and nervous. She is beautiful and tall  . She likes animals and music. She loves her dog Strella and her cat Messi. She likes the cinema too.

Her mother is from Colombia, but she is from Spain. She likes the ice cream too, like me. She doesn't like horror movies and eating vegetables. I love her very much, because she is my friend.

She likes reading, especially love stories.

My favourite food

I like eating food. I have got four favourite meals. The first favourite one is meat. I love meat, it's the best food in the world. The second one is the vegetable pizza. The vegetable pizza is healthier than barbecue pizza. The third one is the salad with cheese of goat. The salad with cheese of goat is as delicious as salad with peanuts. The last food I like most are the potatoes. I love French fries! I like omelette because it is delicious and because there are a lot of types, with mushrooms, cheese, brain of rabbit...

Japan

Hi, in Japan the culture is very interesting.

You have to visit Japan once in your life. I like its food. The food of Japan is the most delicious in the world. My family and I went to visit the big town have Tokio in Japan. This morning, we want to see the tower from Japan. After, we ate shushi in the restaurant Toki-Yoshi. Right now, my family and me are playing the shogi in my apartment.

My favourite thing about Japan is the culture and traditions. They are very interesting. I would like to speak Japanese. I love everything from Japan, but I don't like the weather.

My summer holidays were very funny because we went to the beach all days except the days the weather was rainy. I love the beach because I love swimming. I loved this summer because my uncle came to my house and we went to the beach together.

​My favourite food is pizza, salad and ice cream.

I love pizza because you can put whatever you want on it.

I also like it because it has got cheese. I love cheese !

I also really like salad because it is has a lot of vegetables and also because it is very healthy.

The salad is healthier than junk food and it is very good for the body.

And I really like ice cream because there are many different flavors for exemple: chocolate,

vanilla, cream, strawberry, biscuit... The ice cream is colder tan chocolate cookies.

These are my favourite meals. They are different but I like them so much !

I'm having a great time in New York. New York it's the most beautifull city in the world !

Today I'm exploring the city. This morning I went to Central Park and then I had a hot dog for lunch.

Right now, I'm buying clothes in famous shops of the city and I'm drinking a strawberry milkshake.

My favourite thing about New York are the restaurants because I love the food. I also love hot dogs. I think they are the best.

MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS

These holidays I went to Rome with my mother to spend a few days. On september 1st we went to the airport to take the plane, it was my first time in an airplane, but I liked the experience of flying.

On the first day we went to the Trevi Fountain. I was amazed at the people who were there, then we went to eat at a restaurant that was near there.

On the second day we went to the Coliseum, but we didn't come in because there was at least 3 hours of queuing in the sun, but from outside it was also very cool.

On the third day we went to the Vatican, it was full of nuns, priests and police officers. We came into the Basilica, it was beautiful, it had many statues and paintings.

On the last day we did nothing because we were leaving the city. We went to the airport and came back . These were my holidays and I hope you enjoyed them!

My summer holidays in Sevilla

These summer holidays I went to Sevilla to visit my grandmother. The trip was funny and exhausted. The first day I visited a lot of places ( la Giralda, la Torre del Oro, el Parque María Luisa,... ) and drank and ate water and ice creams. On the second day, my cousin and I went to visit her boyfriend and we went to other places and bought a lot of souvenirs. The rest of the week we stayed with my grandmother and other family and we went to many restaurants and museums. My summer holidays were exhausting for me because I walked a lot and Sevilla is very hot but they were funny too because I was with my family and I visited many beautiful places.

My summer holidays in London

This summer was very funny.

When the holidays arrived I was very excited because on the 18th of July I was going to spend a week in London with my parents, and when I came back home again the relatives we went to visit in London came to Spain to stay with us.

That day arrived and I went to London. There, I visited a lot of interesting places: the Big Ben, the London Eye and the Buckingham Palace.

When the week finished we came back to Spain and we spent the rest of the holidays showing El Vendrell to our family.

The problem was that the week before school I had to do all my homework!

MY HOLIDAYS IN AQUALEON

These holidays I went to Aqualeon (the water park) in Albinyana. I had a great time and it was very funny. The sights were impressive and magnificient. My family and me ate the sándwiches and drank pineapple juice. It was delicious because we were hungry. My sister and I ran for a water slide. It was great because you feel that adrenaline rushes and it was a big experience! It was very funny and I hope to return the next year. When I went home, my family and I went to bed to take a nap how tired we were. I loved my holidays!

MY HOLIDAYS IN TENERIFE

This summer I went to Madrid. In Madrid I visited some museums, parks and famous buildings.

I went to a summer casal. In the summer casal I went to the beach, rode a bike and swam in the swimming pool. I also did the summer homework.

I went to Tenerife too. In Tenerife I went to the beach, ate an ice cream and other food, I swam in the pool and went to the Teide.

I meet my Friends to buy some candies and also for a walk. We also went to Calafell to eat crepes and ice creams.

These summer holidays were the best!

What would you do if you won the lottery? (essay)

If I won the lottery, I would be the happiest person. First of all, I would share the money with my family, it would help them a lot. I wouldn't spend all the money, I would save the most part of it for the future.

Next, I'd buy a trip to go to Australia with my family with a lot of activities to do there. Like diving in the ocean, a tour of its history, etc. And we would sleep in a five star hotel.

For me, I would buy a guitar to learn to play it. For my brother and the personal things of my family, they buy what they want with their part of the money. Maybe I'd go with my family to buy some clothes for all of us. Maybe I'd pay other things for me like an English teacher to improve my English speaking in he future, or maybe I'd pay an English course to do in one summer. It's possible that.

I would do a lot of other things but the list would be so extense. The money wouldn't change me. Material things didn't change a real and a good person, at leat not me.

The best things in life are free

The money in the world is essential. With money we can buy some food, we can buy some presents or we can pay a house to live. With money we can survive. But, is it more important one thing that costs money? What about the feelings? Is it more important one thing that costs money than a feeling? Is it more important money than love? I don't think so!

On the first side, I think it because, in my case, for example come back home, and have lunch while I talk to my mum, is better than the most expensive gift of the world. Sometimes, the least things are bigger than the others. The feelings are the most real thing in one person, they are the things that describe a person like a real person. If you don't have feelings, you would be like a rock!

On the second side, I believe that because without feelings we never would have an esciting life. A present can make you feeling excited one day, but the feelings can make you feeling excited all the days.

So finally, the feelings make your life more complete in all of the aspects.

And there are the reasons because of the best things in life are free.

My ideal job would be to become a childrens teacher because I like the children very much, they are funny. And I also like working in a clothes depantment store.

What can we do for the earth

We have to recycle, reduce paper use, reduce the energy costs, we have to insulate our house and we should invest in renewable energies.

What we can do for the Earth?

The Earth is suffering a lot of problems (pollution, global warming..) and a lot of people aren't doing so much to help it. On one side, because people are vey luch to do anything; on the other side, because the people aren't well informated or they don't know exactly what do to help the Earth. But the thing is that there are so many things that we can do it for it.

For example, in order to cut the pollution, we can go walking or riding to the places. We should use renewable energy and not to use fossil fuels, because they generate fumes and this develop pullution and other problems like global warming.

We aren't the only people that can do anything for the Earth. The government can invest in renewable energy, and remove the fossil fuels. They can buy solar panels and machines to transform the water power or the wind power to electric power, and then, save the world of a lot of problems and the budjet of electricity (computer, light, etc.) will be cheaper.

Unfortunately, the people in the world are paying more attention to rubbich TV programmes or to the Dani Alves' style instead of saving our planet.

Help Africa's people

The problem

The poverty is an horrible problem for some people. About five people every day die for starvation, some disease or to be thirsty because they don't have enough money to cut it. If we don't do anything, a lot of people will die early.

The solution

The shocking thing is that we can help them without moving from our sofa! The most important thing is that if the government invest in Africa's people's life, they will help them improving them! They can improve it if they invest in generating drinking water for the people, or getting more food from the shopping centres in other places, for example.

What can you do to help?

We are receiving some food and money to send it to Africa. Helping with our comaign, we'll give ir to Africa's people. We can make a better world!

-Donate money sending a text message saying "Save Africa". Every message will give to them 2€. If we send a lot of them, we will can raise so much money...!

-Send one piece of food or clothing. You can send to them bring it in a big box to the Rambla's Square on 10th May.

My holidays in France

On my holidays, I went to France to visit my grandparents and uncles, I was there a few days, but I had a very good time. I was doing the homework. I went shopping mith my family, and I bought new clothes. I was sleeping in y aunt's house a few days, and I was playing with my little cousins.

Getting to know people

My ideal job

I didn't have much idea, but I think that my ideal job would have to be in Australia, my favourite country, because in Australia the most of the country is nature. There are a lot of plants, woods, waterfalls, exotic animals, etc. It's amazing! And in Australia people speak English, and I like it so much!
My ideal job would have to be paid with a lot of money in order to live a good life, to buy a lot of things for my family and help to poor people.

It would have to be a job that I like doing it every day. I'd like not to call it like a 'job' and call it like a 'hobby'. And it wouldn't be a job in which I would have to be vey busy, because I don't want to get stressed!

It would be a job that it wouldn't take me a lot of hours during the day because I want to have my time out of the work, and my life out of it. I know a little of the things that I want to have in my ideal job, but I don't know which job would it have these things and I don't know what I would really like to be in the future.

Fwd: My Easter: Rome's Essay

Before starting the Easter, I travelled to Rome with my classmates for the Course's End. The way to Rome was bad, because most of the people felt diziness and the food and the cabin were awful.

On the first day, when de arrived, de had to run to have dinner un Mc Donalds, because it was ten minutes to 2 o'clock, and Mc Donalds got closed at 2 o'clock! Afortunately, we arrived in time and we could have dinner there.
On the second day we went to visit the Coliseum, and it was my favourite visit, because it is so amazing! The teachers explained to us some información about it and it was really interesting! After that, we went quickly to visitar the Roman Forum, but we didn't arrive in time.
Some of us, after that, returned to the hotel, but others went to the Truth's Mouth, a monumento like a face that the legend said that if you tell a lie in front of it, and put your hand into its mouth, the mouth gets closed, but we tried and it wasn't true.
On the third day, we went to visitar the Forum again, and we arrived in time. But I didn't watch a lot because most of the time, Erik Raja and I were locking for the toilette.
After words, we took the underground and we went to visit the Vatican. There, I got lost! I was walking some time looking for the teachers but they weren't! Finally, I found them, and I got lost again, because my grouo started to run and a friend and I lost the people. So we stayed in a bar, and I tried to talk to my teachers, but they didn't answered! So we went to the Vaticano Museum, and we found them.
After that, I visited it. It was the longest museum that I hace ever visited! My legs and my feet could cry because of the time that we spent walking! The day was a bit awful. At the end of the museum, un the Sistine Chapel, I don't know that I couldn't take photos of it, so I started to take photos and the keepers stopped me and obligate me to erose my gallery. The day couldn't finish worse, but it did. The teachers took me to be the responsible of one group. If someone got lost, they gave to me a special punishment. So, one of the group ran away from the group and at the end of the day, they gave to me a special row in the hotel.
On the fourth day, we went to the Fontana di Trevi, and we took some photos. We went to have lunch un a restaurante and we bought a lot of presents and we went to a lot of shops.
The way back to El Vendrell, was better because this ship was bigger and there were better things, places and cabins.
I was sad to return and left Rome, because it was fantastic!

Holidays in Rome!

My holidays were in Rome. In Rome every thing very expensive. We went to see the Colisseo. It was and is very big. It is very cool. We also went to see Trevi Fontana. We went by subway to go to the hotel. Next day in the morning we got up early to go to the Vatican Museum, and in the afternoon we went to the Roman Circus after that we went to tje moutj of truth. Finally we took the subway and went to the hotel to have dinner. On the first day we went to the Forum. The last day we visited Trevi Fountain. On the boat it was boring but in Rome it fantastic!

My holidays in Rome

My holidays in Rome were from 11to 16 March.
We went by boat and almast everyone had a dizzines we arrieved too late to Rome so we had dinner and went to the hotel.
On the 13th we went to the Coliseum almost all day.
On the 14th we went to the Vatican Museums.
On the 15th we went to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon in the afternoon and finally went to the boat to return to Spain.
I liked what Rome was, the Vatican and the Vatican Museums.

My holidays in Roma were from 11to 16 March.
We went by boat and almast everyone had a dizzines we arrieved too late to Rome so we had dinner and went to the hotel.
On the 13th we went to the Coliseum almost all day.

On the 15th we went to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon in the afternoon and finally went to the boat to return to Spain.
I liked what Rome was, the Vatican and the Vatican Museums.

A healthy lifestly

A healthy lifestyle

1 diet:

I think I have a healthy diet, I eat lot of vegetables and some meet not a lot. I eat a burger monthly because I don't like so much eat them. I drink a lot of water, and some or specials days I drink Coca-Cola. I don't eat a broccoli because I don't like it. But I eat a lot of salad.

2 sport

I love sport and in school we have a P.E. lesson every Monday and every Friday. I am not in football but I love cricket and baseball. I love sea but I don't now swimming, in my free time I practice parkour. In summer I play football with my friends.

3 other physical activity

I love cycling but I don't have a cycle I love road racer cycles there are so fasts I love speeding sports. I don't like dancing and I don't now dance. My Christmas Holidays

My Christmas Holidays

In my last Christmas holydays I was at my home, all days long I didn't go anywhere. In my three last days I did my P.E. homework because it was very long! After doing my homework I played games or watched animes I liked to watch it them Surely you know we don't celebrate Christmas. This is my routine since 8^th of January. On 7^th was my birthday now I am sixteen years old. In the last three days I did all my homework I have got English, Catalan, Maths, History, And P.E. In English I have a lot of  questions of the book Oliver Twist, Catalan 8 exercises and one Writing, maths a few problems and history a summary about the French Revolution. It's very long! And these were my holidays, I enjoyed them!

My Christmas holidays

My Christmas vacation was the best I've had in years. I have been every day at home, but on the 25th I went to my aunt's house and on 26th I went to my grandmother's house. The days at home have been fun because we were playing with my boyfriend,, we played monopoly and more several games. On the three Wise Men day we participated in the carriage of Santa Oliva and I was the assistant of the black king, and the day before I went to the movies with my partner to see "Ocho Apellidos Catalanes". As a gift they gave me money for clothes, a TV, makeup, a teddy... It was a fun holiday.

My Christmas holidays' essay

My Christmas holidays were so good! Immediately, after the first day of holidays, I travelled to Extremadura, to spend the most of the days with my father's family, in my grandma's house in Villagarcia de la Torre, a small village.

I go there every year for Christmas and I always have a great time because besides I'm with my family, I change of scene and I have a long rest, I have friends there, and that's amazing! Among them there are people that live in the village and other people that go there on holidays, like me.

The first day, Christmas Eve, it was fantastic! I went out at night. First, I greeted my friends and I talked to them for a long time because there was 'the meeting' like 'Come back for Christmas'. After that, I went to each pub because in all of the pubs it was a lot of music for Christmas celebration!

On the New Year's Eve, I went to the Alejandro's garage (a friend) and I did the same, I danced all night to celebrate the new year.

The other days I met my friends at night and afternoons. We usually went to Noelia's garage (a friend), where there was a sofa, some chairs and a table, and we played a game called 'the wolf', a funny game that we never were boring with it.

All the good things always ends, so on the eleven day that I was there, I had to come back to El Vendrell. I was sad because of that, but after I thought that I will return in summer so I tried to enjoy the last days of holidays in El Vendrell, to start the 2nd term with the power that I need.

I'm very happy with the days that I spent on these holidays because thanks to it I spend time with my friends, my family and I had a long rest.

My christmas holiday (Claudia Terribas, 4tA)

On the day of my holidays i did english and catalan homework. One weeken i went to work in my aunt's shop, i won fifty euros, and with that money i'm going to Czech Republic on the next holiday. I also went to parties in Alternatiu. To end of the year, i went home at 04:00 a.m., it's was funny. When i was in Tarragona with my best friend, she was in a tatto shop, she got a tatto with the her sister's, callled Chloe. Another day i swam in the sea, it's absolutely freezing, but i loved it. My cousin Jasmin bit Salah and i hit my sister, my little brother felt so fascinated, that i foun it so cool!
